Oh I love this one! Very clever
It is uncanny, I too took a bathroom mirror shot, intending to include it on a recent blog but I captured the unmatching towels and general bathroom mess so decided against it - most unfunky.
Your blog is great, love all the photos on the side - how do you do that? Very COOL

The photos down the side? Do you mean the little pictures that belong to the blogs I follow? It is a setting in your 'Blog Roll' - you can choose to have a 'thumb nail' or just text. It is a simple button click - I am not techy (I have a friend who is, so that helps!)

By the way, I've read The Book Thief recently- loved it
@ Marcie - Oh - derr B! I use 'Picasa' for all my photos. It is a free download. I just took heaps of photos of things that were 'me' kinds of things and put them in a collage through Picasa. It really is quite easy to use. I then exported them to my pictures (iPhoto) and was able to then simply choose my own background in the Design window of Blogger. I like it because no-one else will have a background like mine!
